A self-portrait is a representation of the artist (me) and my personality. Taken together, the self-portrait with white flowers and red clothing, they are a way to explore their dual nature, or to express the conflicting desires and aspirations between following the trend while keeping my overall style. It also invites the viewer to reflect on the complex and multifaceted nature of the human experience as the flowers also refers to an opportunity to create something entirely new and original, or a space for experimentation and exploration.

Why the self-portrait
& its meaning
This is a small self-portrait to create the sense of illustration I lean towards, which is layers and highlights of color. The blank canvas represents a moment of inspiration and creative freedom. It allows the expression of thoughts and emotions through and to create something that is entirely their own. The blank canvas is an opportunity to push limits, try new techniques, and experiment with different mediums.
