Easytone series is designed with built-in balance pods meant to create a little instability, such as is experienced when walking on sand. It allows the walking motion to exercise the calves, hamstrings, and gluteus maximus. Reebok's adverts for its EasyTone trainers said the shoes toned calves 11% more than regular trainers.
